Now why would the leadership of any lodge sell their building without requesting permission from GL? And this is a lodge that is 115 years old? SMH
If true, that's just a perfect illustration how far this organization has fallen. We do not seem to be attracting people with business and administration abilities or if we do then they are not willing to take on leadership responsibilities.
Losing $73,000 is a lot so that is obviously a concern. Still, sometimes these 'special representatives' are not very people friendly. I've know a few who seem to get these high autocratic positions in the Elks and they abuse their power. Let's hope that is not the case either.
