    What is the difference between respiration and breathing?
  • Stephanie Kim

    Breathing is a constant process where you breathe in and out constantly through out the day. Respiration is a process where the body breaks down the oxygen, so that the cells in the body can use it.

    Breathing is the action of inhaling oxygen and exhaling CO2 from our lungs and respiration is the process of breathing (breaking down and dissipating oxygen).
    Cellular Respiration Equation: Cell Food +Oxygen -- > Energy + CO2 + Water (H2O)

    The difference between respiration and breathing is that, breathing is the process of inhaling and exhaling that you do unconsciously and respiration is when your body breaks down the oxygen. Respiration is a chemical process and breathing is physical.

    Breathing is a constant process where you breathe in and out constantly through out the day. It is a process of taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide, but respiration is a process where the body breaks down the oxygen, so that the cells in the body can use it.
    Respiration= sugar + oxygen = carbon dioxide + water + energy
    Breathing= C6H12O6 + 6O2 = 6CO2 + 6H2O + (Energy)

    Respiration is a process of passing the oxygen into our whole body, but breathing is just breathing

    Breathing is the action where you breathe in and breathe out, whereas respiration is a process where oxygen that is inhaled gets carried throughout the body by the blood to produce energy, and carbon dioxide is exhaled.
    Respiration= sugar + oxygen = carbon dioxide + water + energy

    Aerobic respiration:

    Glucose + Oxygen ----> Carbon Dioxide + Water + Energy

    C6H12O6 + 6O2 ----> 6CO2 + 6H2O + Energy

    Anaerobic respiration:

    Glucose ----> Ethanol + Carbon Dioxide + Energy

    C6H12O6 ----> 2C2H5OH + 2CO2 + Energy

    Breathing is to get air and exhale. Respiration is process of passing oxygen to our body.

    The respiration is a function that sendin oxygen from lung to heart, and then blood vessels. Breathing is a activity for the lungs, the lungs collect all the oxygen in to the lungs through the tracia at the middle of lungs.

    The respiratory system is basically made up of Larynx, trachea, lungs, intercostal muscle, bronchus, the bronchiole, the heart, the air sac, the ribs and the diaphragm. Respiratory system is made up of the organs in your body to help to breath. Each organs has their each jobs to bring in the air inside your body for you to live.

    The difference of breathing and respiration is that when breathing, you take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. In the other hand, respiration breaks down the oxygen in order for your cells to use.

    Breathing is the thing people needs to do in every day life and this is just making the air go through your respiration system and the respiration system are the organ you need to actually make the human or animal to breath properly and make the body have fresh air and let the wastes and carbon out of the body.

    For breathing, it's a process that we breath in or out the oxygen, for respiration, respiration is defined as the transport of oxygen from the outside air to the cells
  • Teri Park

    Breathing is the physical process where the oxygen flows in and out from your lungs. Respiration is the process of oxygen being broken down, so the cells may be able to use them.

    Respiration is a process where the body breaks down the oxygen, so that the cells in the body can use it. It is a part of metabolic process also known as catabolic process of a cellular activity where energy molecule is released while carbon dioxide and water are produced.
    Breathing is a physical process and respiration is a chemical process. Breathing is a process of taking oxygen into the lungs while respiration is taking the oxygen from the lungs into the blood stream or to the cells.

    Breathing is an action that is performed by your body which consists of inhaling air (oxygen) and exhaling air. Inhaling air is a process where air is transferred into the esophagus to the lungs and the spread into body parts that are needed of oxygen. Exhaling is where useless gases are forced out such as carbon dioxide in our bodies. During this process some amounts of oxygen are forced out.
    Respiration is a process of breathing where oxygen is broken down in our cells
