I made two new handouts on how to type the French special symbols on a Win7 laptop. One method uses the regular keyboard and the other involves installing the French keyboard as an option and using the onscreen keyboard to type the French symbols as needed.
Make very cool animated movies just by typing. Be careful to turn off the ability of others to comment as some problems have been reported by team members.
Xtranormal's mission is to bring movie-making to the people. Everyone watches movies and we believe everyone can make movies. Movie-making, short and long, online and on-screen, private and public, will be the most important communications process of the 21st century and its democratization is a massive business opportunity.
Our revolutionary approach to movie-making builds on an almost universally held skill-typing. You type something; we turn it into a movie. On the web and on the desktop.

Explosive eruptions are relatively rare but pose a serious

One very quick way to look up words on Google is simply to type define:anyword in the Google search field. However, their actual dictionary is far and away my favourite of all the dictionaries I've reviewed, mainly because of its clean, ad-free format. When you click on a sound icon to hear a word pronounced, it doesn't open in another annoying window. The definitions are not too complicated for use by school kids and there are examples used in context and links to other definitions found on the web. At any time, at the top of the page, you can also access web-links, images, videos, etc. that are part of a regular Google search. The site also works with NaturalReader.
This is a great summary of UDL and a rubric-type chart of practical ideas for getting started in implementing UDL. Thanks to Maureen LaFleche for pointing me to this site!

Wordle-type application designed specifically for elementary kids. Also includes excellent games at every level...very nice graphics, especially strong early alphabet and counting, seasonal. Activities such as 100 snowballs or make a face would be excellent for mouse practice.
This is a very educational volcano simulation. After learning about the three main types of volcanoes, choose the viscosity and gas settings and make a volcano erupt. The visual and auditory effects are great! The site tells you what kind of volcano and explosion your settings have created.
