Thanks for this post, Jim. This looks like a great assortment of instant video tutorials. I watched the fossil lesson and found it quite entertaining. It was set up as a quest where you had to learn about fossils in the hall of knowledge before earning the right to visit different geological regions.

Learned about this from Kathy Rice. Great interactive activities and downloadable worksheets. Excellent quality educationally and good graphics; would work well on SMARTBoard. Jan and Jim had also used and said that Character Cards was a favourite activity. The only drawback was that content was stored online.

This is a great 174 page document on differentiation that was put together in Ontario. Includes explanation of UDL and Differentiated Instruction and very useful templates for developing learning profiles.

This is a very educational volcano simulation. After learning about the three main types of volcanoes, choose the viscosity and gas settings and make a volcano erupt. The visual and auditory effects are great! The site tells you what kind of volcano and explosion your settings have created.
