    First off, what is an API? API stands for Application Program Interface. It's a tool which allows web applications (websites and apps to the layman) to communicate with each other and share information stored in each other's databases. Great point, Rhys. I would say that it's best to keep this site internal for our own team. However, it might make sense to use this site as a model to support the growth of an school wide Diigo group.

      Sounds like the exercise has become about the tool, and the tool is meant to stand in for someone who is putting the simplified/bulleted content in context.  Powerpoint is not the enemy, it's being misused.

    Sounds like the exercise has become about the tool, and the tool is meant to stand-in for someone who is putting the simplified/bulleted content in context.   Powerpoint is not the enemy, it's being misused as a replacement for rigorous critical thinking around complex issues.  It's a visual aide, not a complete platform for stand-alone communication.

    Hi everyone, Aviary is an online suite of multimedia programs. They're very similar to Photoshop, Garageband, Illustrator etc, but FREE and WEB-BASED. Basically like Google docs but multimedia creation software. Would be cool for class projects and/or students who want to experiment with media programs but don't have any installed on their computer.
