The National Center for Learning Disabilities, www.ncld.org, provides information for children and adults with disabilities. There is information specific to LD, however, there are also links provided for the rights of students with a learning disability and parents with a child with a learning disability. It continues to provide information for adults as they continue in life with a learning disability.

The Simon Technology Center "is dedicated to making the benefits of technology more accessible to children and adults with disabilities." They provide an AT Library, consultation, training, and workshops.

The International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) works to improve the lives of children and adults who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). ISAAC's vision is that AAC will be recognized, valued and used throughout the world. ISAAC's mission is to promote the best possible communication for people with complex communication needs. The ISAAC website provides information regarding their conference, International AAC Awareness Month, the Leadership Project for People who use AAC and much more.

Learning Ally is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote personal achievement when access and reading are barriers to learning by advancing the use of accessible and effective educational solutions. Learning Ally is the world's leading provider of audio textbooks and literature. The website provides information for Parents & Students, Educators, Adult Learners, Volunteers and Donors.

OT's with Apps is a website dedicated to identifying iPod, iPhone, and iPad Apps that are suited for occupational therapy intervention and services for children and adults. The website is written and maintained by Carol Leynse Harpold, an occupational therapist and assistive technology practitioner.

This site is still evolving, but has been developed for young adults to use as they are considering and pursuing employment. There is a section of the site specific to AT.

The FCTD is a resource designed to help those that work with children or adults with disabilities or families of loved ones with disabilities. In the resource section there are over 1000 reviews of products and websites that pertain to AT. The FCTD operates entirely through program support from the Department of Education'sOffice of Special Education Programs (OSEP) and it is managed by a partnership of organizations, including Adirondack Accessibility, Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (PACER) and the Center on Disability at the Public Health Institute. Their Board of Advisors are many well-known names that specialize in AT, including David Edyburn and Joe Zabala.
