"Claro MagX turns your iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPod Touch or iPad into a powerful high definition visual magnifier. MagX makes small items look bigger. Make small text in books and newspapers readable, study and photograph small objects and labels, see menus in a dimly lit restaurant. The wide range of magnification, high contrast and colour viewing options makes the text easier on your eyes. Claro MagX is developed by experts in low vision technology, and we look to use the power of the iPhone and iPad to provide a high performance cost effective alternative to dedicated hand held video magnifiers. Assistive Technology Blog: Google Search App Updated With Advanced Voice Search Similar... - 0 views

  •
Google just updated its iOS search app to include advanced voice search. The new feature is similar to Apple's Siri. Click here to download the free app. With the Google Search app you can ask questions by voice and get spoken feedback. The Google app is very quick and the voice recognition is accurate. It is almost indential to the voice search included in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It is able to answer a broad range of questions and always has Google search results to fall back on. The Google app cannot read text messages, call people, set reminders, dictate notes, set alarms or be used from the lock screen like Apple's Siri. The Google app is still great for asking questions and getting good answers. Also for people without Siri the Google app is a great alternative.

Full version is $200 "This is a lite version of OneVoice and does not include speech capabilities. Purchase the full version if you need voices. OneVoice turns the iPad or iPhone into an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. Building on the simplicity of iOS devices, OneVoice is easy to understand, and designed for usability above everything else. Though OneVoice comes with a pre-populated vocabulary (focused on children) the real value is that you can easily add your own phrases and photos to create a custom experience. Features include: - 4 High Quality Voices (Not included in the lite version) - Over 100 custom made icons - Drag and drop organization of phrases and categories - Choose and crop your own photos from the device photo gallery or your camera. - Simple, focused application. Users won't get lost in many levels of categories and be unable to find their way back "
