With Docker and other modern containerization approaches, there is very little overhead in running in a container, and considerable upside.
  • Do not build stateful services. Instead, maintain state in a dedicated persistence service, or elsewhere.

Because of this, Terraform builds infrastructure as efficiently as possible, and operators get insight into dependencies in their infrastructure. Change Automation: Complex changesets can be applied to your infrastructure with minimal human interaction.
