Good resource for children. Great short stories by children for children--audio and accompanying text. Great for early listening comprehension activities. New stories are not being added, but maybe in the future the site will open up again. Rec. by Russell Stannard.

Children have a strong disposition to explore and discover. The Project Approach builds on natural curiosity, enabling children to interact, question, connect, problem-solve, communicate, reflect, and more. This kind of authentic learning extends beyond the classroom to each student's home, community, nation, and the world.

Children create their own commic strip using characters provided from database. Not specifically for ESL/EFL, but is a nice writing activity, and can be in any of several European languages. Although the home page looks like it's for children, the text is really fairly complex, so high school or adult is more appropriate. Offers suggestions on point of view, reviews, summaries, etc. A sophisticated mind-mapper.

Collaborative storytelling beginning with excellent pictures from which children can develop stories. Share, read, and print.

Online books for kids, read by children, with illustrations and all. Very nice read along. Many free, and can be personalized with your children's names.
