This is my students all time favorite lab. Students don't understand the full economic or scientific impact of the mining industry until they have gone through this simulation. It's sort of like a geologic monopoly game. It is based in part on the ROA activity and similar activities in various earth science books.

CAIT is one of the most trusted sources of climate data available. It is a free and open source for comprehensive and comparable climate and emissions data. Predator Free 2050 is an ambitious goal to rid New Zealand of the most damaging introduced predators that threaten our nation's natural taonga, our economy and primary sector. Ridding New Zealand of possums, rats and stoats by 2050 is a New Zealand-wide goal. It will require new techniques and a co-ordinated team effort across communities, iwi, and the public and private sectors. Predator Free 2050 will deliver huge benefits across New Zealand - for the social and cultural links with our environment, for our regional economies through primary industries and tourism and for our threatened native species. DOC is seeking proposals from developers of tools to control or eradicate possums, rats or stoats.

Welcome to EcoLibrary! Students in my classes and workshops - ranging from college age to kindergarten - learn best when we use a lot of photographs and other rich teaching materials. EcoLibrary allows students and teachers to freely use materials that support learning about ecology, conservation biology, and the environment. Clue into Climate: A Digital Media-Based Curriculum Unit on Climate Change was created with input from San Francisco Bay Area teachers and advisors. The curriculum unit is comprised of four content strands, each of which includes 5-7 media resources related to the strand topic. Each strand also contains a strand guide and assessment, a background article and 4-5 lesson plans that provide information and activities to support the use of the media with students. Additionally, the curriculum unit provides a student workbook and a climate education resource guide.
