In the article, more Chinese factory workers are being killed because the lack of safety. In Tianjin regulations were not being followed and the dangerous chemicals caused an explosion. The chemicals used to make plastic water bottles and polyester clothing are very flammable and was in a factory that exploded in April. China has a history of factory accidents that killed not only their workers but citizens as well. Regulations from the State Administration of Work Safety have not been followed or listened to so many people are getting hurt. Homes are being built too close to factories, so when an accident occurs like in Tianjin, people in their houses are killed as well. This is all relates to China's functional region. Much of China's population works in factories and to save money they live very close to the factories as well. The people living in this region are always in danger. Sodium cyanide, a very toxic chemical, was found at the explosion site in Tianjin. This dangerous chemical was released into the air and into the water and now the government must clean it up for the public. The work the people are doing in the region is affecting the environment in the area and will spread. China insists that they are improving safety and protecting the environment, but the rest of the world thinks they are not doing enough. Will China listen and start to take regulations seriously or go back to their old ways? Should the people in the region move due to the environmental hazards or risk their lives with their current jobs?
