I also found the liver and onion dish as a taboo to be interesting because of how it is accepted in some regions and not others. It seems it is more widely accepted in areas that are influenced by folk culture rather than popular culture, which is funny because many things are eaten in a popular cultural society that are worse for you and contain more chemicals than the natural liver of a cow.
