I agree with @sydneykolln because the jump from an extended summer break to a school system that couldn't get their ideas straight was kind of mind-boggling. I remember hearing the announcement that we'd be out of school for two weeks. Then four weeks. Then the rest of the year. I was pretty stoked to hear the two and four-week announcements, but there was something almost cynical about the final announcement. No one got to say goodbye, and no one was ready to come back. When August rolled around, it was like everybody forgot what was going on because the school had seemed like such a distant thing. It has been a few months now, however, so like Sydney said it's about time to pick ourselves up and get to work.
