With the Filibuster in place, nothing gets done. The Filibuster allows the minority of congress to block popular legislation. Ignoring the often unrepresentative nature of the congress, this is a serious problem that isn't even enshrined in the constitution. What are your thoughts on the Filibuster?

I agree, an example of this would be the 15 Dollar minimum wage increase. 62% of Americans support the increase but since the filibuster is in place the minority Republicans will continuously block the bill.

Although the article has a liberal bias, the information provided (including the charts at the end) are fairly interesting about the frequency of filibusters for the last 20 years.

This is nuts. The headline says it all. There has to be some more comprimise in the coming years or the trouble we have will multiply tenfold.

I agree with you Blake. The reason why this country is going down hill is because Democrats and Republicans fight over how to fix it, and nothing ever gets done.

I don't believe filibustering will really do any good. They can't just filibuster until another justice dies or for years. It's really childish in a manner to just be doing it in order to have revenge over the Republicans.

What is so bad about having a filibuster? Just let Democrats speak their mind and see what happens, they already waited a year and a half they can wait a little longer for a decision.
