Everyone in this group should use stumble upon to find resources for this group. You can narrow your stumbles to only one subject. I have mine set only to graphic design. With stumble upon you install a button on your browser when you press the buttton it takes you to a random site related to your interest.
Some sweet links here despite the name (AnimeKandi.org...) I went through a couple of the illustration links and was pleased. I didn't find any anime. This is worth exploring.
Here is my stumble upon account it almost all design resources. I don't want you to join I am just trying to help you guys out if you want resources. I would rather be educated than see brush links.
Here are my delicious bookmarks it almost all design resources. I don't want you to join I am just trying to help you guys out if you want resources. I would rather be educated than see brush links when I come here.
I joined this group because I looked at your bookmarks Ian. I thought I was a little low brow because I lack formal education and I saw some great stuff.Today I took a break from work to make some post and come here and get something (education/inspiration). That article on making your own logo while his heart is in the right place is bad information. A logo is a craft like anything else. There are a ton of good resources out there for logo design. The reason most people don't make a good logo is because they don't know how to make a logo. You don't assume that you are good at calligraphy because you are an artist. Then I get a wordpress logo. Is it that good of a logo? I usually see wallpaper and think no way. I am not here for wallpaper. I think all wallpaper should go in a post like I made a post for tutorials. If you do post a wallpaper you better have a great reason and type that reason out. I found diigo looking for self education/design and fell in love with it. I think this is a great way to educate each other. If you want to post that kind of stuff join deviant art. Ian I think you should let people join but not post so they can learn and don't feel pressured to contribute. Or have them post anime and manga, wallpaper, photoshopstuff, etc. up here where I know to avoid it.
A collection of hundreds of images from all kinds of artist. It seems accurate as far as the images labeled are by the artist they claim to be. Josef Albers, Moebius (Jean Giraud), Max Ernst, etc. Keep clicking the images, a lot link to the artist websites.

I was hoping we could post stuff like this off to the side so the more advanced members don't have to bother with it (hopefully) and people like me can refer to the forum to learn about the basics. We could do this with other topics, it could be a great way to organize content.
This sight deals with the role of sketching in the design process.
