The statement "Collecting Art: Everyone's at it, why aren't you?" on the cover caught my attention first then it's the news that artreview offers free, on-line magazine for your pleasure, at least for the first 6 months (I don't even know what that means!).

This guy is from my redbubble contacts and he seems quite a celebrity who keeps winning awards for his stonishing photographs though personally I prefer his digital works, which have these funky twists here and there that wows me all the time and are totally enjoyable for all the Japanese style fans.

A fantastic place to find possiblities within the nearly impossible -- this is my greatest compliment to the artist.

Another online shop for art, but the only thing you can find there is the most fabulous 'cause TP refueses about 99% of submissions from around the universe. The rule is as follows:

The Austin Museum of Digital Art (AMODA) is a non-profit institution that promotes access to and appreciation of digital art. Currently AMODA is a nomadic institution, holding exhibitions, showcases, lectures, youth programs and other events at various locations around Austin, often in collaboration with other arts and educational organizations. Ultimately, AMODA is envisioned as a permanent venue for digital art -- a world class art museum in downtown Austin, open to the public. Our goal is to make AMODA a leading center in the community for art presentation, education and outreach. Our mission is to engage the public, educate the community and support artists in the creation, understanding and appreciation of digital art.

I borrowed a book of van Gogh's letters from a local library, and what can I say, I'm not only totally fascinated by him, but feel so bad when reading the last letter he wrote his brother before his death. His artwork and writing both are greatest treasure an artist can't live without! Ian

Bold, funky, energetic and colorful - this guy's graphic design is really pleasing and enjoyable, and he even declares that "I don't take myself or my work too overly seriously"!! Well, he sounds just like me. ;)

I wanna share this article simply because I'm still waiting for a congratulations letter from the organization of a visual art competition I participate. I don't want this preperception (or illusion) of winning the 1st prize ruin the pleasure of making art.
