    Some schools hold advisories first thing in the morning. Other schools might schedule a 20-minute advisory time between the second and third periods of the day. In one school, where the lunch hour comprises three 20-minute lunch periods (one lunch period for each grade 6 through 8), advisories meet for the 40 minutes of the hour when students aren't eating

    This is a great site and I use the 5 Good Resources for Learning the Periodic Table. This also has free downloads. You can find the Periodic Table on October 24th, 2010. You just scroll to 2010 on the right side and you scroll down till you find the article.

    It would be wrong of me if I did not include a history website.  This site provides up to 200 videos about the American Experience.  You can view the videos by time periods and there are lesson plans that can accompany the videos.  This is a great way to supplement learning and make it come to life.

    PowerPoint I think students should know how to create a PowerPoint presentation by the time they leave middle school.
