Free Technology for Teachers: Illustrated and Narrated Explanation of Creative Commons - 0 views

  •
The nuances of Copyright and Creative Commons and the differences between them can be confusing. I recently came across this neat little video that does a good job of explaining Creative Commons and what Creative Commons licenses allow or do not allow people to do with your works. A PDF of the images in the video can be found here.

purchasing a captioning solution such as DOC Soft (www.docsoft.com). This is a piece of hardware that enables you run all you video files through and the technology spits out caption files (the caption files are not always 100% accurate, so you need to do some quality assurance). It also allows for setting up profiles where you can train the technology to improve the accuracy rate, which is especially useful for videos recorded in-house by repeat faculty.

YouTube to mp3 Converter - 0 views

YouTube-mp3.org is the easiest online service for converting videos to mp3. You do not need an account, the only thing you need is a YouTube URL. We will start to convert the audiotrack of your videofile to mp3 as soon as you have submitted it and you will be able to download it. Different from other services the whole conversion process will be perfomed by our infrastructure and you only have to download the audio file from our servers. Because of this our software is platform-independent: You can use it with your Mac, a Linux PC or even an iPhone. All our conversions will be perfomed in high quality mode with a bitrate of at least 128 kBit/s. Do not worry, our service is completely free. We need approximately 3 to 4 minutes per video.
