The OpenLearn website gives free access to Open University course materials. This is the LearningSpace, where you'll find hundreds of free study units, each with a discussion forum. Study independently at your own pace or join a group and use the free learning tools to work with others.

You will find a significant amount of research that strongly supports the move to a learner centered teaching practice on this site. It also contains  all of my most recent presentations and more than 30 instructional resources designed to assist faculty and students in making the changes they will need to make if learner centered teaching is to be a successful learning practice for both groups.

A new research project by the Open University explores the much-debated concept of "the digital native". The university does this by making full use of the rich resource which is its own highly diverse student body. It concludes that while there are clear differences between older people and younger in their use of technology, there's no evidence of a clear break between two separate populations.
