Back in October 2012 I made my first Little Box of Poems - this is a self-contained box that prints out a random short poem when you press a big red shiny button. I like having poems instead of receipts in my wallet. And it makes a good educational project combining physics (wiring), DT (making the box), ICT (programming) and English (writing or finding poems

DotSub is mostly for collaboratively translating excellent videos into multiple languages, but the end result is that you get subtitled videos!  Here's an example - a collection of the "in plain English" videos embedded into this wiki page: https://confluence.delhi.edu/x/IwBiB Each one has a dropdown where you can select the subtitling language to display:Note that not all languages for each video are complete. It shows the percentage that is complete next to each language in the dropdown. Then, if you know a certain language, you can contribute by adding subtitles to a portion of the video... Very cool site!

My article about the use of Twitter in Orange Class (@ClassroomTweets) was recently published in English 4-11. I have changed some of the ways in which we use Twitter even within the short time between writing and publication of the article. I plan on writing another more up-to-date reflection on how we have been using Twitter soon but in the meantime hopefully this will provide you with the context in which our work is based. As this is the first article I have ever had published I would value any comments or feedback as to what you think about it.

Students could create their own tours of places they have been. Woices walks you through the process and provides the map, a place to upload your own photos and the ability to record 10 minutes of audio at each stop. A short introduction to wikis that illustrates how they can be used to organize a group's information, in this case, for a camping trip. Generic, not a specific software. Might be useful for some students
