Office Sway - Wikipedia - 0 views

  • Office Sway is a presentation program and is part of the Microsoft Office family of products.[1] Generally released by Microsoft in August 2015, Sway allows users who have a Microsoft account to combine text and media to create a presentable website. Users can pull content locally from the device in use, or from internet sources such as Bing, Facebook, OneDrive, and YouTube.[2] Sways are stored on Microsoft's servers and are tied to the user's Microsoft account. They can be viewed and edited from any web browser with a web app available in Office Online. They can also be accessed using apps for Windows 10 and iOS. An additional app is currently in development for Android.[3][4]
  • Sway was developed internally by Microsoft.

  • Users are able to add content from various sources into their Sway presentations. Some of the integrated services are owned by Microsoft, including OneNote, Bing, and other Sways. The program also provides native integration with other services, including YouTube, Facebook, Mixcloud, and Infogr.am.[7]

      Sticky Note from Todd

      Hey todd, nice note
    • Sarah McGaughey

Yes, this is a very nice note. It would be a better one, if it would stay on the page that Todd placed it on and didn't stay visible on the screen even after scrolling.

I'm guessing my highlights are still not showing up? Because those at lease stay on the page and paragraph.
    • Sarah McGaughey

I can't see them. Not in the document itself. I do see them at the bottom of the list of sticky notes and highlights.

So does this sticky note not read at all by anyone? Respond if you can.

I can see this. And the text you highlighted is repeated here in the list of sticky notes and highlights. But I still haven't been able to see a copy of the document with the highlights in it.
    • Matthew Kochis

In my document, I get the highlight, my comments, and now your comment. It's odd that it doesn't appear this way in everyone's document. I'll have to continue to look into this.

Yes. The highlight, followed by the sticky note allows the stick notes to remain in one place.

If this is used for the class, I would say that the highlight function needs to be emphasized and taught first. After that, students should be able to understand the function of the sticky notes.
