Yacapaca is a great web tool for educators. It allows teachers to have access to a plethora of already made quizes. They can also make their own using the provided tools there. I have just discovered this awesome website today and I think it is really worth reviewing here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning. Yacapaca is absolutely free and does not require any software download or installation. You just need to register with them using your email address. As you head over to Yacapaca main page you will find two big buttons one says ' I am a teacher' and the other ' I am a student'. for students to log in they need an access key from their teachers. Once logged in you can choose your country ( it does not support all countries ) and a list of categories will be displayed. If you are in education and you don't know how some programs works or what it is, then please watch these videos. It will amaze you just how much incredible educational content there is and ANYONE with a computer can access it.

You can upload files up to 2 GB in size so this would prove very handy in sharing teaching resources such as videos that are simply too large to email. Absolutely no sign up or login required.  It just works.

Study Buddies is one of the features I like so much about this website. Students can search for and find other people with whom they can work, collaborate and interact online. They can add enough buddies to create a study group. There is also the possibility that students create a class or enroll into one to study a topic at their own pace. Witty Comics is a cool website. It allows its users to create two characters dialogues. This is a great learning tool for students. They love cartoons and comics and are much more inclined to learn via dialogues and interactive  play roles. Teachers can use Witty Comics to create dialogues underlining the target structures they want to teach  and let students act them out. Students can on their part use Witty Comics to create thier own  dialogues and rehearse them in front of their peers. Witty Comics is a good tool to foster students communicative skills and enhance their creative powers. Witty Comics is free of charge and is very easy to use. It has a simple platform that any one can handle , the only thing you need to do is to register with them and start making comics straight away. How can we keep students focused on schoolwork with all the electronic temptations surrounding them? By engaging the students completely with our lessons, keeping students actively involved in their learning, and reflecting on our practice to avoid blaming the technology or kids' short attention spans, in my opinion.

ViewPure is absolutely an excellent tool for teachers and students. It allows you to watch YouTube videos in a clean and distraction-free interface. All the distractive features such as ads, related videos, and comments are removed providing students with an ideal environment for watching educational videos.

I've been reading lately about the novelty effect for increased attention spans in education. I believe "iFake Text" is a great example of  a simple tool that can allow your students to show what they know in a unique or novel way by emulating a text message conversation on an iPhone.
