ISLAMABAD: Strong tremors were felt in parts of the country including South Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Samaa reported Monday. According to our correspondent the earthquake jolted Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot, Quetta, Peshawar, Kohat, Abbottabad, Swat, Malakand and other cities and towns of the country.

School children were filmed rushing out on to the streets from their school after a massive earthquake measuring 8.1 on the Richter Scale rattled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern areas, Punjab and other parts of the country. Watch the video.

LAHORE/PESHAWAR: Northwestern areas, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and different cities of Punjab have been experiencing heavy rain/thunderstorm since Tuesday night, as Met Office forecasts more downpour in next 24 hours, Samaa reported. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) the intermittent rain spell continued on Wednesday in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and adjoining areas, breaking the fresh heat spell.
