ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Saturday ruled Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not violate the election code of conduct in his recent press conference in Lahore. As per code of conduct, the ECP said, the prime minister and ministers cannot ask for votes from the voters after once the election campaign ends.
LAHORE: Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman, Saturday condemned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's recent press conference as violation of election code of conduct. "The Prime Minister led a rally by addressing a press conference a day before by-election which is violation of election code of conduct," Qureshi said while talking to Samaa.

LAHORE: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized all arrangements to ensure holding of by-elections in two National Assembly constituencies NA-122 Lahore and NA-144 Okara, and one Punjab Assembly constituency PP-147 Lahore tomorrow (Sunday). A total of seventeen candidates are in the arena in NA-122 Lahore.
LAHORE: Military personnel have taken control of 248 polling stations set up for by-elections in NA-122 and PP-147, Samaa reported. The personnel would remain deployed inside and outside the polling stations during by-elections to be held tomorrow (Sunday). Arrangements have also been finalized under supervision of army in the constituency.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday declared an independent candidate, Riaz-ul-Haq winner from NA-144 by securing 85,714 votes in by-election.
