The boys and their coach entered the caves to explore on June 23rd and were trapped deep inside the cave complex as rains flooded the caves. Till July 2nd their whereabouts were not known. The British divers found them alive on a ledge in darkness. What struck the divers is their calm demeanour. In spite of staying in the darkness and with very low levels of food the boys did not panic. There is a reason for that. When the wild boars were found they were all meditating. Their coach, the real hero of the whole high drama that followed, was a Buddhist monk before he took the responsibility to coach the football team.
