Web. 19 Nov 2010. A study was conducted using the graduation rates of college student athletes in order to determine their legitimacy. Researchers concluded that graduation rates alone cannot account for the lower rates among athletes. They say that there are numerous factors that affect this, including admissions standards and wealth of the institution. The study also discusses the relationship between admissions and educational attainment. The study concludes with hopefully providing a model that promotes both academic and athletic excellence.
