On 25 April 2014, interns of UNESCO-UNEVOC welcomed four interns from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to the UNESCO-UNEVOC premises. The visitors are currently undertaking an internship in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at the GIZ in Bonn and Eschborn, Germany. They visited the Centre to learn more about its work in general, the cooperation with GIZ and the Centre's role as a clearinghouse for TVET. The visit started with a short introduction of all participants, which was followed by a presentation held by the UNESCO-UNEVOC interns. The presentation focused on UNESCO-UNEVOC's mission, the UNEVOC Network and the online resources. The GIZ interns were especially interested in how the UNEVOC Network works and in the reports of the World TVET Database, a feature they found very useful."

"TVET experts from the European Union met in Brussels on 17 November to discuss the preliminary findings of a study on the Internationalization of TVET in EU countries, and the European Commission's role in this. The purpose of the study is to map policies and practices from the EU, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), Australia and five International Organizations that support international cooperation in TVET, including UNESCO. A set of recommendations for future actions at the European and national levels will be included in the study's final report. UNESCO was represented at the meeting by Katerina Ananiadou, programme specialist at UNESCO-UNEVOC. The study was commissioned by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture and carried out by International http://www.icfi.com. The Commission and the contractors gathered feedback on the preliminary findings from national and international experts. Their feedback will be incorporated in the final version of the study, which is due to be published in December 2014."

Le CRIFPE fête cette année ses 20 ans d'existence. Le Colloque international en éducation : Enjeux actuels et futurs sur la formation et la profession enseignante est donc l'occasion de faire un bilan de notre champ de recherche, la formation et la profession enseignante, et d'en explorer les enjeux actuels, tout en pensant l'avenir. L'objectif scientifique général de ce colloque international est donc de susciter des débats et des réflexions de haut niveau intellectuel dans les diverses sphères entourant les axes de recherche du CRIFPE. Après un premier colloque international en 2003, La profession enseignante au temps des réformes, ce deuxième colloque aura donc une visée plus large où viendront se greffer les domaines spécifiques reliés aux Chaires de recherche associées au CRIFPE, soit la Chaire de recherche du Canada sur l'étude de la formation à l'enseignement (Pr Clermont Gauthier), la Chaire de recherche du Canada sur les politiques éducatives (Pr Christian Maroy) et la Chaire de recherche du Canada sur les technologies de l'information et de la communication en éducation (Pr Thierry Karsenti). "Experience from outside UNESCO-UNEVOC Regional Forum Europe and North America network enriches work of penultimate meeting ahead of next year's global forum in Bonn. The second session Tuesday (29 October) of the UNESCO-UNEVOC regional forum Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and North America on advancing, improving and greening TVET hosted by Moscow's National Observatory on Vocational Education/Centre for VET Studies, widened its scope to a broad international focus. The three-day event, attended by over 100 experts in training, system analysis and policy advice, opened Monday with the spotlight on two of UNEVOC's priorities - youth employment and skills development and bringing an ecological perspective to TVET. Tuesday's theme was regional and international harmonization in TVET. Delegates looked well beyond the regional boundaries of Europe, CIS and North America, which is one of the five regional clusters around which UNEVOC organizes its global work. Representatives of the Africa, Arab States, Asia and Pacific, and Latin America and Caribbean regions presented the progress in advancing UNESCO-UNEVOC's agenda, based on the Shanghai Consensus proposals identified last year at UNESCO's Third International Congress on TVET."

The Sixth International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD2013) will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from December 7-10 2013 ICTD Conferences provide an international forum for researchers and practitioners exploring the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in social, political, and economic development. The conference reflects and deepens the multidisciplinary nature of ICTD research in a broad range of areas including computer science, anthropology, communication, design, economics, electrical engineering, geography, information science, political science, health, sociology, and many others. ICTD2013 will be the sixth of an ongoing series of conferences occurring every one-and-a-half years.

L'année dernière a été une année importante pour le Centre international UNESCO-UNEVOC. Nous avons célébré dix années d'engagement de toute l'équipe de l'UNEVOC, des membres du Réseau UNEVOC et de nos partenaires en les rassemblant au Forum international à Bonn, Allemagne. Le Centre international a engagé des efforts pour renforcer le Réseau UNEVOC et apporter une contribution efficace au développement de l'EFTP dans le monde entier. Cette année, nous entendons poursuivre ces efforts et, dans ce contexte, nous avons entrepris diverses activités en ce tout début de 2013.

RENFORCEMENT DES CAPACITÉS DANS LE CADRE DU SYSTÈME DE CERTIFICATION DE SEMENCES DE L'OCDE - Le commerce international des semences a pratiquement triplé en termes de valeur au cours de la dernière décennie, passant de 3,5 milliards de dollars en 2000 à 10 milliards de dollars en 2010. Pour garantir la croissance continue de ce marché très innovateur et de plus en plus mondialisé, la certification des semences joue un rôle essentiel, car elle indique aux acheteurs et aux vendeurs que les semences commercialisées ont été produites et traitées dans le respect de principes reconnus. À cet égard, les Systèmes de semences de l'OCDE jouent un rôle significatif en inscrivant dans un cadre international la certification des semences au niveau international

Le Réseau international Formation Agricole et Rurale FAR organise en partenariat avec Montpellier SupAgro un séminaire international sur l'ancrage territorial des dispositifs de formation qui se tiendra du 13 au 15 décembre 2016 à Montpellier, à l'Institut des Régions Chaudes.

L'année 2016 est une année importante et déterminante pour la phase de consolidation du réseau FAR. L'association, Réseau International FAR, créée en 2012, devra dans les prochaines années acquérir une autonomie technique et financière, et développer des partenariats. Il est prévu de renouveler la structure de ses membres et clarifier leurs rôles et responsabilités. Au programme de la prochaine Assemblée générale du réseau : co-construction d'un diagnostic du réseau FAR entre les différentes parties prenantes et acteurs du réseau, formulation des ambitions et de la vision du réseau pour en définir les objectifs stratégiques et un plan d'actions opérationnelles. Une réflexion portera également sur l'organisation la plus idoine. A l'automne, un séminaire international thématique sera de nouveau ouvert au plus grand nombre.

D'après un article de presse ghanéen, le gouvernement du Ghana « envisagerait d'imposer une interdiction sur les importations de riz et de volaille ». Le 25 février 2014, le ministre du Commerce et de l'Industrie, Haruna Iddrisu, a déclaré que le gouvernement comptait introduire rapidement une loi « qui protégerait l'industrie locale et qui, dans le même temps, ferait du Ghana un exportateur alimentaire net ». Il a annoncé que le gouvernement était prêt à « interdire l'importation de riz et de volaille » lorsque l'infrastructure institutionnelle pour la gestion du commerce international sera en place via la Commission du commerce international prévue (voir article Agritrade « Le Ghana envisage de créer une Commission du commerce international », 24 avril 2014).

UNESCO is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2015, a crucial year for the international community's efforts to reach a consensus on limiting global warming and the creation of cleaner environments for individuals, communities and countries. In the coming months, UNESCO will continue supporting efforts to meet these challenges by focusing on several major events ahead of the UN General Assembly's scheduled adoption of new international development goals known as Sustainable Development Goals (MDGs). In education, the natural sciences and culture, UNESCO will continue using the soft power of advocacy, diplomacy and networking with civil society, to reduce the devastating effects of conflict and help make lasting peace possible. In the month of May, the World Education Forum, which brings together UN partners, national governments and international stakeholders, will hold its third session in 25 years in Incheon (Republic of Korea). The Forum will take stock of progress made towards the Education For All goals established in 2000 and define future objectives. As the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, says, "this forum is truly the threshold to the future of education, and a springboard for the post 2015 agenda," in which UNESCO is pressing for an "equitable, quality education and lifelong learning for all".

"The Erasmus Mundus International Masters in Rural Development (IMRD) programme offers the opportunity to study international visions on rural development to students both from within as outside of the European Union. Students are offered the opportunity to become a specialist in integrated rural development, through a two year master programme jointly organised by six European leading institutes in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, in collaboration with several partners in the United States, China, Ecuador, India and South Africa."

Dans le cadre du Sommet international des jeunes agriculteurs, organisé à Bordeaux le 4 septembre dernier, par JA et Afdi, un manifeste international des jeunes agriculteurs a été adopté par une délégation internationale de 45 JA, représentants 36 organisations paysannes de 32 pays.

Créer une grande agence "France international" dédiée à la politique de soutien à l'internationalisation des entreprises, et fusionner Ubifrance et l'Agence française des investissements internationaux (Afii). Ce sont les idées phares du rapport sur l'évaluation des dispositifs de soutien à l'internationalisation de l'économie française, rendu à Nicole Bricq, ministre du Commerce extérieur, le 26 juin 2013, et réalisé dans le cadre du programme de modernisation de l'action publique.
