Tourists are interested to walk to a small, but picturesque Lake Akna (also Aknalich and Aygerlich), located 35 km west of Echmiatsin, on Hoktemberyan highway in Armavir Province. You can get to the lake by bus going from Yerevan to Hoktemberyan. Aknalich (Eye Lake) is a good place for hiking and camping at the beach of the lake (3032 m), stay in the fresh air, talk and play with fire, swimming in the lake and fishing (bring your fishing rods) will be a good rest. This small lake between Metsamor and Aknalich, for which the latter village is named, is one of the sources of the Metsamor River, fed by underground springs. The lake is overlooked by a pleasant restaurant.

Armenian Apostolic Church Armenian Apostolic Church is one of the oldest Christian churches. Christianity came to Armenia in the II-III centuries .
