All sectoral indices ended lower, with BSE Realty index emerging as the top loser down 2.2% followed by the IT and Metal indices among others.Metal companies witnessed profit taking to end lower yesterday. Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Vedanta and Jindal Steel ended down 0.8-4.6% down. Banking shares ended mixed. Banks in Cyprus have decided to impose a levy on depositors amid wide protests, which led to a fear of contagion across the financial system in Europe. Market updates : The Sensex was trading at 25,681, went down 204 pts or 0.79 per-cent. It attained a high of 26,810.06 and a low of 25,644.35 in early morning trade. The Nifty50 was at 7,801, went down 62 pts or 0.80 per-cent. It attained a high of 7,819.25 & a low of 7,787.70 in the first 30 mins of trade.

Today in Indian stock market had a weak start. In early trading it shows selling pressure.Sensex dropped 185 points and Nifty rolled down to 7515 levels. Midcap and Smallcap stocks also lost the edge. At 10:25 am, the Sensex fell 128 points to 25,186 and Nifty at 7535, down 34 points. Midcap and Smallcap stocks are looks sluggish.

US stock futures are up more than 1% this morning, erasing yesterday's entire gap down. When stocks opened down nearly 3% yesterday, many investors feared it was the beginning of a harsh downward spiral.

Copper prices have come down to Rs 407. All other metals are under pressure. Gold fell 0.5 per cent and trading at at Rs 26,120. Silver slipped 0.75 per cent to Rs 35,600. Crude Palm oil prices have come down to Rs 440. NCDEX Soya oil slipped 0.5 per cent and trading at Rs 576.5.

Sensex down 82 points to 27,951. Nifty was down 19 points to 8,362. BSE mid and small cap indexes rose 0.2 percent and 0.15 percent Metal shares are up. IT shares are high.
