U.S. stocks retreated to one-month lows on the back of a surge in the U.S. dollar and some weakness in oil. DJIA was down 332.8 points or -1.8% at 17662.9. Asian stocks are trading mixed as markets awaited more data that could shed light on the state of China's economy. Equity benchmarks began steady Monday, with realty, and oil and gas shares leading early gainers. The Sensex was up 41 points at 19724 and the Nifty up 13 points at 5958.
