Wall Street closed higher today despite struggling a little in the early going. Research in Motion led decliners today, falling on weaker outlook despite tech trading higher.

Oil prices closed in on $90 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange after a three-day rally on Wall Street and a sharp decline in U.S. inventories.

The market is close to resolving whether the consolidation pattern since early August is a base for a renewal of the bull market, or a further decline in stock prices and a very attractive buying opportunity.

The market remained lacklustre ahead of Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections results in the weekend. The Sensex declined down 29.09 points to 25970.25 and the Nifty slipped 7.20 points to 7741. The market is dominated by profit selling from the upper levels. Midcap and smallcap stocks have declined strongly. BSE Midcap Index have 2 per cent and smallcap have more than 2.5 per cent weakness. In BSE except FMCG, all indices are in red. Realty, Metal, Power and Consumer Durables shares are worst sufferers.

Crude oil slipped to Rs 2900. Gold is trading above Rs 28200 with a gain of 0.5 percent. Silver is trading at Rs 40250 climbed up by 2 percent. Natural Gas has a gain of 4 percent. Crude oil lost its gain today.It fell in both domestic & international market. NYDEX crude fell by 1 percent and trading at $ 68.5. MCX Crude fell by 0.3 percent trades below Rs 4260. MCX Gold is trading below Rs 26350 with a decline of 0.5 percent. MCX Silver broke 2 percent and reached at Rs 36000.

Silver is trading at Rs 37,800 with a fall of 1.2 percent. Crude oil is slipped by 0.5 percent trading at Rs 5050. Natural Gas fell 0.2 percent and trading at Rs 235. Copper declined by 1 percent and reached tp Rs 418.

The decline in crude oil has stopped now.On NYMEX crude has reached at the level of $ 83. While Brent is trading above $ 86. Today rupee has some strenght

NCDEX May Dhaniya; a weak close followed by a "spinning top" candlestick pattern on daily charts renders that the trend remains weak and is likely to extend the decline towards 9265 & 9112 levels.
