Interesting interactive science simulations

Various games in a virtual world. Although I did not stay here all that long, I did notice that the games seemed to offer an alternate way to memorize facts and did not really allow students to do any constructivist learning. Must be harder to build those games.

This game has the player taking on different roles to learn about what kind of planet humans need to survive. There's a cute little ferret that talks you through the different training modules and missions. It's a great place to learn about our planet and what makes it habitable. This site is geared toward middle schoolers and has a lot of health information. They can find out more about nutrition by going to the Body tab and clicking on the "More on Body" link at the bottom of the page. This takes them to a site that has information about proper nutrition and what they can do to be healthier. This is a good site to use for researching nutrtional requirements.

It's free - but have not had time to investigate. So much to do - so little time!!! I know you know that feeling.

this website has simple, but fun games. Also, it has resources for teachers and you can save them to your Diigo account and print them out later(puzzles, word finds, charts, etc....).

Real Estate simulation game. A little simplistic. Good for ages 12-14.

This seems to be a more engaging graphical way to show the different cells and how they divide and get rid of dead cells. Mostly information presentation not very interactive.

This is an interactive site for elementary and middle school kiddos. The games are quite engaging and make learning math a lot of fun.

what's really 'cool' about this site is the use of word problems which are often difficult for someto grasp the understanding of completing such a problem.
