I agree. But if you add a main folder 'smart folders' with the behavior like the '...more' that will drop-down with a list of smart folders only when user points/clicks on it. Than it will not influence the speed (you will make the extra GET request for the folders only if user really needs it)!

I use FF and variations of Google Chrome, on several PC's, some times I use Opera. And I want ot keep all bookmarks synced. There are a lot of extension for FF from different Soc.Bookmarking sites that make 'smart folders', but there still no crossbrowser bookmarks toolbar with such functionality. Thus it can become a greate adwantage of your web 2.0 service!
Nice solution. But I do not want to do it every time on every PC and browser I use when I create a new list o smth. The best option is to have all my smart folders in the simple bookmarklet. Anyway, thanks for your tip!
