In order to improve the Windows 8, Microsoft decided to remove the F8 key option to access advanced startup options that are considered best for troubleshooting system in case an issue arises. There was no easy way to access safe mode than F8 key but, it is not present in Windows 8.

F8 key does not load advanced startup options in Windows 8 because Microsoft has disabled it by default for some particular reasons. However, sometimes, when users want to boot into safe mode or any other advanced startup option to troubleshot Windows 8, F8 key seems to be necessary.

Restart your Windows 8 system and press F8 key many times to make nothing happen. That does not mean the feature is banned for the users. You just needs to apply a simple tweak to make this feature enable in Windows 8.Follow this video tutorial.
