When applying free-floating sticky notes to a page, they all revert to the top left position even after being moved to the specific location where I want them.
How do you lock a sticky note to a particular position?
I apologize if this has been answered, but I couldn't find any reference in the forum.
Well, it would appear they are overly sticky, lol :-)
Not sure, never had this happen to me. What operating system, browser and version number are you using? Can you send the URL in question that this happened on or does it happen on all web pages for you? Info helps the Diigo developers uncover the problem.
I placed a sample public sticky note which should appear above the Specialty Applications graphic in the right middle section of the page. Instead, it always comes out near the top left of the page.
I am using Firefox and the Sticky note showed midway down on the right on top of the product finder text entry box. Is that where you intended the note to be?
(Off-topic: at home pages it's usually preferable to not use Diigo annotations in this way, but the redirect from https://www.kennametal.com/ allows the ultimate content to be highlighted.)

I am using Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer 6.029.
The URL in question is: https://www.kennametal.com/en-US/home.jhtml

I will try using Firefox.
2. Using Diigolet, I moved the note.
3. Using Diigo Toolbar 3.1.6.7 in Firefox 3.0.4 on Mac OS X 10.5.5, I reviewed the page. The note appeared in the position to which I had moved it.
4. Using Diigo 3.1.6.7, I moved the note.
http://www.diigo.com/annotated/432432227876219736c29437731bb747 does now show the note defaulting to its third position (not its starting position). Approximately, its position should be as shown in this screen shot:
@ Tim
Is the note that you are re-positioning a note that you created?
Or, are you re-positioning a note that was created and positioned by someone else?

Please: using Diigolet, or Diigo Toolbar? Which version?

Here using Diigo Toolbar 3.1.6.7 in Safari 3.0.4, and Diigolet 3.1b446, both on Mac OS X 10.5.5, Tim's sticky appears mid-page:
* vertically, in a reasonable position (not at the top)
* horizontally, less predictable:
- if the browser windows are sized to fit the content, then the intended content does not align with your note,
- if the browser windows are sized to exceed the width of the content, then at some point the intended content may align with your note,
For an annotation that relates to a specific string of text, it's ideal to highlight that text then add your annotation. http://www.diigo.com/annotated/a022e4071700b0e106fca7decae300e0 for an example.
