  1. in Firefox 3.0.4 extended with Diigo Toolbar 3.1.6.5 on Mac OS X 10.5.5
  
  2. opt to 'Show drop-down menu when text is selected'
  
  3. mid-sentence, mid-line: double click a word to commence selection

  4. using the mouse and I-beam cursor, attempt to extend selection.
