I have a group named IB ITGS that has a tag dictionary that I have been using successfully for several months. However, now when I try to share a bookmark to this group, the tags do not load into the bookmark applet (or window or whatever it is).
Is anyone else having this problem with their group tags dictionaries? If so, is there a solution. Today is the day I'm planning to use this for the first time with my classes and need this feature for the lesson to work.
The tag library is not working under Ubuntu 9.04 and Firefox, OS X (lastest version) and Firefox, or Windows XP with Firefox. I am using whatever the latest version of the Diigo Toolbar is on all platforms. I couldn't easily discover a way to tell the version (usually under About...application).
The Ubuntu and Windows machines are mine, and OS X is at school. There is no Diigo toolbar for Safari, so all students are using Firefox.
I just created a new test group (testibitgs) and the group tag library is not working for it either.
Can you confirm that the group tag library is working for other groups? I have had no problems with this for the past three months. Students are able to share tags to the group, but the library does not load. They have to type them in themselves which of course is error prone and diminishes the idea of consistent tagging.
If you want to experiment with any aspect of the groups environment, without messing up your proper group(s), feel free to play in http://groups.diigo.com/groups/sandpit

Off-topic from the current bug: it would be nice for Diigolet to benefit from group tag dictionaries - thus reducing the requirement for installations of Diigo - but I guess that this feature is not a priority.

Thanks for any help.

I don't assume a relationship between the issues, but they're worth noting.

For all computers in the class, are the answers to comment #2 the same as for your own computer?
Is the browsing environment enforced, or do class members have a choice of browsers?

I tried this on the Ubuntu 9.04/Firefox 3.0.13 platform:
1. Uninstalled Diigo toolbar.
2. Install Diigolet
3. Neither tag library loads (IB ITGS nor testibitgs)
4. Uninstalled Diigolet
5. Reinstalled Diigo toolbar 3.1.6.16
6. Tag libraries still not working.
I switched my students from Del.icio.us to Diigo specifically for the customized tag library feature. Is there any way to get it working again?
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks very much for the quick fix. I really appreciate it.
In general, is this forum where I should be reporting issues like this or is there another place for bug fixes?
Many thanks again,
Jeff

I just added two topics Bugs and Suggestions to the FAQ area of this forum.

You might like to enable e-mail notification for another topic,
Integrated/improved routines for Diigo bugs, tasks and improvement suggestions.
