Assistive Technology Services Offered and Fees | Shelley Haven ATP, RET - 0 views

  • Hourly Rate $132 per hour for time spent onsite or with client (e.g., training, assessment, and meetings), as well as for time providing specific services for a particular client (e.g., configuring their computer or software).  I have a flat one-hour charge for document review (reading evaluations, IEPs, etc.).  I don't charge for creating training materials, e-mails, or phone calls unless the phone call is scheduled as a meeting substitute (e.g., conference call to remotely attend an IEP meeting). Assistive Technology Assessments AT assessment costs vary depending on numerous factors, for example: the extent of solutions sought, whether classroom observations are needed, whether a written report is required, and IEP meeting attendance. Formal AT assessments with a written report generally range from $1300 to $2000 -- sometimes less, occasionally more -- depending on the factors mentioned above. Once we discuss the scope of what you need, I can provide an estimate (e.g., "no more than xx hours"). Travel For most locations in the Silicon Valley area within a one-hour roundtrip (generally San Mateo through San Jose), there is no charge for travel.  For other locations within the Bay Area, I charge $66/hour (half my hourly rate) to cover both mileage expenses and my time beyond that initial hour roundtrip (that is, the first hour of travel is always free).  If I can coordinate our appointment with another client in the same area, there is no travel charge.  To get an idea of travel time to your location, go to Google Maps, select "Get Directions" at top left, and determine the average driving time between Sunnyvale and your location.

Just-in-time Knowledge Distribution Enables the Inexperienced to Behave as Experts | Ci... - 0 views

"Push and Pull Knowledge Distribution Systems Are Limited So how do you take "on-the-shelf" knowledge that resides in the organization and convert it into "actionable" knowledge that can be used by employees who interact with patients? The industrial psychologists talk about two ways to distribute information and knowledge to the employees who need it: knowledge push and knowledge pull systems. Push systems like training, e-mails, RSS feeds, blogs and online subscriptions provide quality information, but the information has no direct relation to what the user is doing. Pull systems like portals, search engines and content management systems again contain valuable information. The user, however, has to know the information is available and take the initiative to go find it, thereby disrupting the workflow."

App Store - Spaced Retrieval TherAppy - 0 views

  • $3.99
  • This expanded interval timer will help clinicians, family members, and students to keep track of the intervals and performance as they practice up to 3 memory targets.
  • Recalling an answer over expanding intervals of time (1 minute, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 8 minutes...) helps to cement the information in memory, even for those with impaired memory. Combining the recall with a physical act (e.g. turning over a card) involves procedural memory, a memory system often preserved when explicit memory is impaired.
  • ...1 more annotation...
  • Please note: This app is a timer and tracks data. Targets should be individually selected for the memory-impaired person to be relevant and meaningful. This app is not intended to be used alone by the memory-impaired person, but as a therapy tool by a clinician or family member trained in this technique.
