A Chicago-area woman has been charged with killing her 5-year-old son and a 7-year-old girl as she babysat them, allegedly stabbing each dozens of times in a bedroom this week as they pleaded for their lives, authorities say.

Over the weekend, after a human foot was discovered, searchers recovered the head, two hands, and another foot of a child, according to the police department and the city's medical examiner's office. Investigators found the hands and feet in a lagoon in the park on Saturday and officers continued searching into the night, video footage from CNN affiliate WLS showed.

At a news conference, Assistant U.S. Attorney Lynn McCarthy played dashboard camera video of the shooting for reporters. The video appeared to show Johnson running away from police officers and into a public park. Out of view of the camera, the 25-year-old was shot twice, she said.

A man from Huntley, Illinois has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl. The man, Jimmy J. Dill, 40, was arrested Tuesday. The charges stem from two alleged incidents: his alleged touching of a breast of the 16-year-old girl in October 2011, which happened at his home; and a second incident a month later, in which he exposed his genitals to the teen, which also happened at his home.

This is the woman charged with murdering her baby granddaughter, allegedly cutting the infant's throat with a power saw after hitting her on the head multiple times. Police in Chicago said seven-month-old Rose Herrera was apparently killed because she would not stop crying.
