    So my question is this...Can you take care of the employees and not create a "country club" environment but create delighted customers? I think they have the idea flipped. I think you can definitely take care of the customers and never provide an environment for your employees. This is where leadership sets itself apart from management.

    I love that..."we did it ourselves!" What a great example of leading and encouraing others to be the best they can be without making it about the leader. A truly gracious leader will beam with pride from behind the scenes knowing that their job was done well and no "recognition" is needed.

    This was a good list of "lessons". I especially liked number 11: No one likes change but a baby. However, change is desperately needed. I think in our UMC Denomination some are afraid of change but that is what is desperately needed if we are to grow in the future. We need strong leaders to help us to change how we do "church" and become relevant for today!
