Lessoncast is something I have never heard of before, but seems very useful to teachers. It is an interactive site that teachers use to get and share ideas. It has a blog, and all kinds of lessoncasts that teachers can use. A lessoncast is a short video elaborating on new ideas for different lessons.

This is an AWESOME site! There are numerous resources available!!!! There's templates, printables, interactives for notebooks, and tips for different things you will encounter as a teacher. There is a fee to access all that the site requires, but well worth it!

This electronic source for American literature, funded by the Library of Congress, allows students to explore multiple facets of American literature. One link leads to an exploration of Edgar Allan Poe's Baltimore, while another looks to examine how the history of Salem influenced Nathaniel Hawthorne's writings. By presenting students with this tool, they will be better equipped to understand the writers' backgrounds and read deeper into their works.
