If you ever had some extra time at the end of class or during an "inside recess day," these would be something the students would enjoy. My standard for this website is standard 6.1. The point of this standard is to to bring interactive technologies and hands on experiences into the classroom.This website is a good example for the standard 6.1 for primary reading and english teachers.

Jumpstart is a great site for teachers of any grade level. You can choose the grade level you are teaching and then find activities, games, worksheets, and more for your students. It has activities for many different subjects reading, English, science, math, and art. This would be a great source for gather ideas for activities, getting supplemental worksheets, or to give the students a safe place to play fun games!

This site is great to use in your classroom for grammar review. This site has many grammar games that can be played in the classroom. this is an English centered classroom help. Although it is a great resource for students.

Free Rice is a non-profit organization that helps teach children vocabulary, while also helping feed third world countries. This site can help teach students about how to help others while still being able to learn. For every vocabulary question a person answers correctly, the United Nations World Food Programme will donate 10 grains of rice. How you answer a question right is Free Rice gives you a word and you are supposed to define the word. It gives you four choices to choose from, and all you need to do is to choose the best answer like on a test.

This particular website is free and is a great tool especially for English teachers. There are many different parts of the website that can help students learn anything from basic suffixes to SAT vocabulary. --Adriana Tate

This online writing lab meets the requirements of Standard 6.5: Candidates use technology to gather, sort, and analyze information needed for their own research projects. The site has many useful tools in working with research and projects. There are links to guide you through your research and organize your paper in a professional way. I have found it to be very helpful.

This website has games students can play based on grammar topics. It also has pdf downloads. It also has a link on the home page to the Junior version for Elementary students.
