It is set up in a way that is beneficial to many teachers as you can choose to filter the information to the specific type of teaching you do or how long you have been teaching. It contains loads of helpful information for teachers whether they have just started out or have been teaching for decades. This relates to standard 6.4 because part of using technology in our classrooms and to change our educational practice is finding information and inspiration and this website has a lot of good information all in one place.

Free Rice is a non-profit organization that helps teach children vocabulary, while also helping feed third world countries. This site can help teach students about how to help others while still being able to learn. For every vocabulary question a person answers correctly, the United Nations World Food Programme will donate 10 grains of rice. How you answer a question right is Free Rice gives you a word and you are supposed to define the word. It gives you four choices to choose from, and all you need to do is to choose the best answer like on a test.

This website is an excellent resource for educators to reference when teaching their class about safe web-surfing practices, copyright laws, etc. Teachers can also find a detailed description of what "technology ethics" means, why schools need to teach it, and the most effective ways to do it. I found this Treehouse TV website while surfing the web and it goes along with the 6.2 standard because it goes hand in hand with the grade levels of pre k- 3rd.It will really draw the children to learn on here because their favorite characters are teaching them like Dora, Little Bear,and The Bubble Guppies. Plus it teaches technology to them by the different games and activites they offer. So i suggest you and your little definitely check it out! :)

This portion of the website meets standard 6.5 because it teaches students how to collect, sort, and analyze data through a project that collects the eye colors of the students. The project will enhance the skills of students and prepare them for future projects. The website presents various ideas for teachers to use in his or her classroom and these ideas are a fun and interesting way to teach.

Great website to teach science and inquiry. The website teaches students about math, science, inquiry, and body systems. The website has multiple worksheets to allow teachers to follow the student's progress. The website allows students to draw real life experience. It shows students that science and math are needed after school.

This Website is actually the home of one of the other websites I found (posted earlier for Standard 6.1) with games and wanted to share it, because it has several other links and more information on teaching with technology as well as links to several games available on the internet.

This site has links specific to teaching history, social studies, geography. It has links to lesson plans, current news portals, research content, interactive time lines and most anything to do with teaching history. Endless resources for teachers and students alike. There is also a link available to send suggestions and was featured by the New York Times.
