I found Pecha Kucha very interesting as a concept of creating succinct presentations using a different format or creation tool.  It is huge idea that is spreading quickly. Could be interesting format for course assignments.

Calibrated Peer Review: Overview - 0 views

  •
This is an excellent site for peer assessment assignments.  It is a web-based program in which the students learn how to evaluate sample documents via a rubric and once they pass that test they are given actual peer assignments to evaluate.  They then evaluate their own work.  This teaches them both evaluation skills and feedback skills.

But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others.
