Prezi is a cloud based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides. The zoomable canvas makes it fun to explore ideas and the connections between them. The result: visually captivating presentations that lead your audience down a path of discovery. I have been using prezi for the past 3 years and with each update there is a shorter learning curve. More creative than power point presentations. MOT students who are more "right" brained and more global than linear in their thinking and learning seem to embrace the prezi format.

Brainstorm online with bubbl.us. Easily create colorful mind maps to print or share with others. Almost no learning curve. Businesses, universities, and other schools are using bubbl.us worldwide to generate ideas, map out processes and create presentations. I have used this site with my MOT students at UIndy when they return from analyzing workers at Costco. We consolidate their responses on this site, i.e., we use a different bubble to represent each dept. at Costco, i.e., Membership, Scanning, Tire Center, Bakery and Meat Dept. I imagine that it would be extremely effective for any "brainstorming" session that you might want to complete as an online exercise. I'm wondering whether it can be used in conjunction with Adobe Connect?

Another poster creation app with different formats, allows multimedia tech to be used, drag and drop features for easy creation. Similar to infogr.am but maybe with more flexibility.

I found Pecha Kucha very interesting as a concept of creating succinct presentations using a different format or creation tool.  It is huge idea that is spreading quickly. Could be interesting format for course assignments.

I love using Dropbox! This is great for having your projects available to you anywhere by logging in to dropbox, rather than always remembering your thumb drive to emailing it to yourself. Great pulling up presentations at school or work that you worked on at home, or vice versa.

This is a mindmapping app that is collaborative and allows presentation on varied mobile devices.  Great for brainstorming ideas an sharing.
