This site is a collection of 100 milestone documents that was compiled by the National Archives and Records Administration. The documents are from U.S. history from 1776 to 1965. This site has some great ideas and tips for teachers and librarians as well.

A science topic that is bound to grab and hold onto everyone's attention is outer space. NASA offers four versions of their student site: K-4, 5-8, 9-12, and higher education. Each version offers some basic "must-haves" for primary sources such as photo libraries, videos, and a link to NASA-TV. In addition, there are games to motivate students, career profiles (to help students see what steps are necessary if they want to become an astronaut), and "Homework Topics" to help students extend their learning. There is also a great NASA Kids Club that is available!

This is a webpage that has a lot of links to primary doucments including treaties and diaries from WWI. It is a great place for history students to get primary source documentation for reports or just to extend their learning.

This is a collection of recordings made by various presidents between 1940 and 1973. It would be a great way for students to understand how a president thinks, how they use their power to influence others, and why they took certain actions.

This would be a great resource for high school students studying American history. It is a program that is putting secret recordings from presidential meetings online for public access. They are from 1940-1973, and could be useful for students doing projects on any president or historical event during that time.

NASA provides a wealth of resources that are safe, fun, and educational for students. It provides reliable information on space-related topics, as well as games, Web quests, and even chats with NASA experts This page would work well with primary students.

Great, divided by state, territory; may be helpful for rendevous project as well as senior project.

The United States Department of Agriculture sponsors this informational site. Students can learn about the different food groups and what they should eat to have a healthy diet. There are tips about physical activity and food choices. There is even an interactive section in which students can personally plan their meals, investigate the different foods they eat using foodapedia, and they can assess their foods and physical activity. I think this is a valuable site because students learn about healthy choices.

This is a great site to use for primary sources practice. You can work with the activities given or do as I've done and have students compare the information they can get from primary sources versus secondary sources. The set up of the activities in investigation form can be quite appealing for students as well. I think this would be good for 5-12 grade.

This site discusses what climate change is and what can be done to help it. Current news and data streams about global warming and climate change from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Student friendly site with lots of resources for teachers.

Cool site that covers Roman, Medieval/Anglo Saxon & Medieval European recipe collections. This would be a fun addition to World History. You could also use this in Math converting measurements.

Great primary source for all types of learning about money. This website has interactive games and activities that are really fun. It also has a great link for educators.

This site tells students all about the money we use every day.  There is also a teacher's section which provides lesson plan ideas.

This website allows you to see virtual exhibits from historical events. It also has a teacher page with information to aide with using this source. I appreciated the ease of using this website.
