This site is a specialize area within in Flickr dedicated to those who desire to have, or add to, a pool of photos/messages that address the mindset and tenants of Curriculum 21, written by Heidi Hayes Jacobs and C21 faculty.

"Have you checked out Google Labs lately? If not, it's worth a peek. The area, reserved for application and tool prototypes not yet ready for prime-time, houses some cool (and crazy) ideas. Past alumni include Google Alerts, the Google Docs suite and Google Reader. Check out these nine Google Labs experiments. Which ones are on your radar? Can you imagine how some of these applications might enrich curriculum?"

"However, this is what i have seen. Podcasts, even though the students making them get to record them over and over again until they are satisfies, a lot of students are satisfies with little. Plus, they are just as boring to listen to as a presenter reading off cards. As for TV documentaries, I had students record themselves reading off their computer. Like I mentioned, they know how to use the equipment, but we need to teach them how to create a creative and attractive product, and that takes a lot of time if you are the only one integrating it in the classroom. As a MS teacher, I can tell that they do not have much experience in this and we need to be aware of that."

"It was the first time I gave a presentation about tools at the Teacher2Teacher conference. It felt a little odd, since I so strongly believe that: IT IS NOT ABOUT THE TOOLS, It's about the Skills! Nevertheless, we do need to use tools in order to expose, practice and create through them."

"LearnCentral allows educators to use a free public Elluminate room to hold large webinars or group meetings. To qualify, the events must be 1) education-oriented and non-commercial, 2) free (you're not charging those who attend), 3) recordable, and 4) open to anyone to attend. We're really excited to see what you do with this capability, and are hoping that it allows you to regularly gather other educators around curricular interests in "historic" ways."
