Liverpool 4 - Arsenal 4 Premier League, April 21, 2009 Liverpool looked threatening early doors against an Arsenal side decked out in their replica '89 shirts, Lukasz Fabianski saved well from Torres just before the twenty minute mark. Ten minutes before the break Mascherano paid a heavy price for being caught in possession, Nasri played in Fabregas who squared the ball for Andrei Arshavin to finish off the bar to put the Gunners into the lead. Liverpool came storming out the blocks in the second half, Fernando Torres headed in the equaliser on 48 from a Kuyt cross after Sagna failed to clear and the turnaround was completed on 55 when another ball from Kuyt on the right was headed over the line by a brave diving header from Yossi Benayoun. Ten minutes later it was 2-2, Andrei Arshavin nicked the ball in front of Arbeloa and the Russian schemer fired a cracker into the far corner. Three minutes later and Arsenal took the lead, Aurelio the defender at fault this time, presenting Arshavin with an easy chance to complete his hat-trick. Two minutes later it was 3-3, Fernando Torres turning Silvestre to level the game yet again. An incredible match still had two late goals to lend it legendary status, first Arshavin bagged his fourth after good work by Walcott only for Liverpool to equalise in injury-time with a close-range effort from Benayoun.

Arsenal 1 - Manchester United 3 Champions League semi-final second-leg, May 5, 2009 United killed the tie inside 10 minutes. A terrible slip by Kieron Gibbs allowed a Ronaldo cross to reach Park Ji-Sung after 6 minutes and the South Korean made no mistake beating Almunia. Minutes later Cristiano Ronaldo silenced the Emirates with a stunning free-kick that left Almunia grabbing a fresh air. Wayne Rooney forced a finger-tip save from Almunia as United looked for a third.Almunia made another terrific save to deny Ronaldo at the start of the second half. On the hour mark United scored a brilliant third. Breaking out of defence from a corner, Ronaldo started a lightening move which Rooney carried up-field, the number 10 returning the ball back into Ronaldo's path with the Portuguese forward coolly finding the net. 15 minutes from time United's night soured, Darren Fletcher was sent off for a foul on Fabregas in the box, with Robin van Persie scoring a superb penalty.

Shakhtar Donetsk 2 - Werder Bremen 1UEFA Cup final, May 20, 2009 After a bright start in Istanbul, it was Shakhtar who struck first after 25 minutes, Werder were slow to react at the back as Rat threaded a pass through to Luiz Adriano, who raced away down the middle before coolly clipping the ball over the advancing Tim Wiese. Werder levelled thanks to a handling howler from Shakhtar keeper Andriy Pyatov, who found Naldo's powerful free-kick too hot to stop as the ball trickled over the line. After a far quieter second half which produced no goals the match moved to extra time, where Jadson converted a Darijo Srna cross from the right hand side to hand Shakhtar the lead for the second time.

Lazio 1 Sampdoria 1Coppa Italia final, May 13, 2009 Lazio made a fabulous start to the Coppa Italia final against Sampdoria as Mauro Zarate let rip with a bullet after just four minutes. A top-draw double save from Castellazzi kept Samp from falling 2-behind, and soon parity was restored after Giampaolo Pazzini directed home a well-placed header.

Athletic Bilbao 1 - Barcelona 4 Copa Del Rey final, May 13, 2009 Much to the joy of the romantics it was Atletico Bilbao, not Barcelona, who struck first in the Copa Del Rey final when Gaizka Toquero headed home a back-post corner from Francisco Yeste. On the half hour Yaya Toure drew Barca level with a low shot that deflected into the near post. The Catalans took control of the match early in the second half, Leo Messi converted a rebound before Bojan Krkic slipped in a beautiful third off the far post. A super free-kick from Xavi made it three goals in five minutes to kill the match. The match was soured when Dani Alves was struck on the head by a beer can thrown by a Bilbao supporter.

Wigan 1 - Manchester United 2 Premier League, May 13, 2009 On a wet and filthy night in Wigan, Manchester United never looked assured in the early stages. And they fell a goal behind when a long Cattermole pass towards Hugo Rodallega popped up in the air when Vidic came into challenge, but the Colombian was quicker to regain his bearing when the ball landed to fired inside Van der Sar's near post. With United still looking flat after the break Fergie replace Anderson with Carlos Tevez and within four minutes the Argentine converted with a fantastic touch in box from a Carrick shot. With United upping their tempo as the match progressed finally the Red Devils took the lead when Michael Carrick arrowed a perfect left-footer into the top corner from O'Shea's pass.

Hamburg 3 - Manchester City 1 UEFA Cup, April 9, 2009 City got off to the best possible start in Hamburg scoring after just 30 seconds, Ireland played in Robinho with a long ball, the Brazilian controlled brilliantly before returning the ball to the advancing Stephen Ireland who had the simple job of turning the ball over the line. But City's lead was short-lived, Piotr Trochowski's corner was headed home by Joris Mathijsen at the near post. The Germans then took control of proceedings, but it took until the 60th minute and a Micah Richards handball to allow Piotr Trochowski the opportunity to put Hamburg ahead from the spot. Trochowski capped a fine performance sending in a low cross from the left that Jose Paolo Guerrro, unmarked, steered into the roof of the net for the Germans' third.

Delhi Capitals are on a roll after notching up their seventh win from 11 games thus far, including five wins from their last six encounters. RCB on the other hand are still at the bottom of the points table, but have put their six-match losing streak behind them to win four out of their last five matches in IPL 2019.

Dynamo Kiev 1 - Shakhtar Donetsk 1 UEFA Cup semi-final first leg, April 30, 2009 Dynamo Kiev drew first blood in the all Ukranian semi-final, midway through the first half an Aliev free-kick was diverted into his own net by Dmytro Chygyinsky. Shakhtar grabbed a crucial away goal midway through the second period thanks to Fernandinho who slid home from close range.

Manchester United 1 - Arsenal 0 Champions League semi-final first-leg, April 29, 2009 The hosts started with a high tempo, Ronaldo flashing a cross across the Arsenal box in the early exchanges. Manuel Almunia made a stunning point-blank save to deny Carlos Tevez, and moments later United's pressure paid dividends with John O'Shea arriving in the box to smash home the opener 17 minutes in. Almunia came to the Gunners' rescue midway through the half when the Spanish keeper saved brilliantly to deny a Ronaldo header. Arsenal barely tested Van der Sar in the first half, Cesc Fabregas trying his luck from 20-yards out without success. As Adebayor flashed a shot over the bar for Arsenal midway through the second half, Ronaldo came within inches of adding a second only to see his dipping strike crash against the bar.

Terminator Salvation opens in two weeks, and the marketing department is already gearing up for that final push where the turd's hanging three quarters of the way out your ass and you start sweating because you know if you don't get it all out you're just gonna be wiping forever and who has the time? Anyway, in preparation for all that, they've released this new, extended, four-minute trailer, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't look badass. It's interesting to note that most of these clips seem to take place during the day time, which is a switch from the first two, which seemed like 85% night scenes. Haha, just kidding, I liked it when the giant robot caught on fire.

Shakhtar Donetsk 2 - Dynamo Kiev 1 UEFA Cup semi-final second leg, May 7, 2009 Shakhtar made their home advantage count after 17 minutes, Dario Srna whipped a dangerous cross into the Kiev box and, after the away defence failed to clear their lines, Jadson crashed home a super strike into the top corner. Ismael Bangoura levelled for Kiev minutes after the restart to bring the tie back all-square. Shakhtar won the match in the 89th minute trough a fine solo goal from Ilsinho.
