This workshop is dedicated to all of you who enjoy singing but only sing in the car or in the bathroom; who have an inner urge and wish to sing; who never tried to perform in public or would like to get better at performing live. Also all singers and instrumentalists. More info: http://www.mbscyprus.com/presentation... Voiceprint is a group music game, where we use the voice as our instrument. Participants will work with voice experimentation and sound production, improvisation and expression through spontaneous interaction in an atmosphere of absolute acceptance and encouragement. We use the vibrations of our voice's sounds for relaxation, release and self-improvement in our personal journey. Mantras is a word or a short phrase that you continually repeat either aloud or silently to yourself in order to focus and clear your mind of any thoughts. Eventually, you can let go of the mantra and find yourself in the place of stillness and silence that is the goal of meditation. A few words about the facilitator: Marlia teaches classical guitar and composes, writes lyrics, arranges and records her songs, sometimes only with natural instruments and sometimes with the help of loopers, samples and effect pedals, where the voice always plays a leading role. She is a teacher and student of yoga and recently released her first independent solo album "Ode to Self" (2017). She also facilitates healing circles of improvised music coexistence through the voice, percussion instruments and dance. _

Zeus also had his eyes set on Taygete and tried to seduce her. Before he could reach her, she ran into the arms of Artemis, who turned Taygete into a doe so that she could escape the clutches of Zeus. For millennia the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades, immortalised in the famous Pleiades star cluster, have been objects of wonder and fascination across the globe. They have been the subject of myths and legends in almost every culture on the planet. The Pleiades were seven sisters: Maia, Alcyone, Asterope, Celaeno, Taygete, Electra, and Merope. Their parents were Atlas, a Titan commanded by the god Zeus to hold up the earth, and Pleione, the mythical protectress of sailors. The Seven Sisters are also known as the 'Water Girls' or the 'Ice Maidens', due to their association with water, be it seas, rivers, rain, hail, snow, ice or frost. The Greek legends often refer to the sisters as 'Oceanids'. Some sources claim that the name 'Pleiades' originates from the ancient Greek word 'plein', meaning 'to sail'. _

"We won't give up," he promised at one of the biggest protests yet in Cairo's Tahrir Square. Once a behind-the-scenes Internet activist, 30-year-old Wael Ghonim has emerged as an inspiring voice for a movement that has taken pride in being a leaderless "people's revolution." Now, the various activists behind it - including Ghonim - are working to coalesce into representatives to push their demands for President Hosni Mubarak's ouster. With protests invigorated, Vice President Omar Suleiman issued a sharply worded warning, saying of the protests in Tahrir, "We can't bear this for a long time, and there must be an end to this crisis as soon as possible," in a sign of growing impatience with 16 days of mass demonstrations. For the first time, protesters made a foray to Parliament, several blocks away from their camp in the square. Several hundred marched to the legislature and chanted for it to be dissolved.
