Hey singers! Welcome to Module 3 of the online Rising Voice holistic course. In every module there are exercises about the breathing support system, several vocal warm-ups, various singing exercises, ways to release your songs online, how to grow your audience on social media, and some of your home recording and software options. Developing your digital image, recording techniques, and how to setup your home studio with affordable equipment. You will be guided step by step through YOUR journey of finding your voice and becoming an independent artist. In the first 3 episodes of this Module, you will learn how to control vocal dynamics in combination to your singing, how to continue experimenting with the timbre and texture of your voice. I'm explaining how everything is oscillating in our Universe and how imitating natural sounds can help you grow vocally. I'm giving you techniques for tone improvement and tips on how to stay on pitch. The use of your head voice and the advantages it can bring to your singing skills. Episode 4 of this Module is dedicated to various affordable pieces of equipment and gear that you can purchase to setup your home/traveling music studio. Cover song from Xylina Spathia [Στον Βράχο] by Marlia project OK so my performance at HUG - Hungarian Handpan & Worldmusic Gathering in Hungary 2019 was over and people wanted one more song. The stage manager said no. Szombathelyi Patrik from HUG stepped in and asked him to do one more song. Hernán Suárez Music was already on stage on calabash and percussion. Patrizio Castrovinci was already playing flute and hulusi with me in the previous song, along with Vértes Marcell who improvised on trumpet with us. I asked them to stick around on stage with me, although they had not heard the song ever before and this is result of our improvisation. Towards the end there is an impromptu moment when I decide to join the crowd off-stage and so you cannot hear the guitar & voice at this point because I took the cable out, finally leading to my return on stage and closing of the song and the performance. Today's Libra full moon is helping out with the official release of my new song "Palisandros" (meaning "Rosewood", one of the main kinds of tonal wood used in traditional instrument-making), which I have been procrastinating for some time now, because of how vulnerable and exposed it makes me feel in a lot of many different ways. First and foremost, singing in my native Cypriot dialect; this is the first song I have written in Cypriot. It brings tears to my eyes every single time. Partly I know why; partly I am waiting to explore.. Secondly, there is nothing fancy about this recording; yet the story is interesting: I conceived the melody 3 years ago while rehabilitating from a knee surgery and being hosted in Greece by my dear friend & exceptional guitarist Bill Stathopoulos, I wrote the lyrics while trying it on the piano of my brilliant songsister Arianna Tondo ヅ in Italy, I recorded it with special creature's Benjamin Hedengran Andersen classical guitar in a soundproofless hut in India, I used the chimes, rattles, cajon and djembe belonging to multi-talented musician and top-notch father David Esteban, while shooting the video in the wilderness of the Philippines with charismatic and tribal soulsister Dona Tumacder-Esteban, finally mixing and producing it in the company of my dogs in Cyprus. Lastly, I would like to dedicate this song to mother Earth and the four elements. And I would like this song to be a reminder to all of us: That no matter how tough people wish to look on the outside, remember there is a soft, tender and sensitive part somewhere deep inside them, that got trapped there for one reason or another. By all means, it wants to come out. If only we give it a chance, it wants to come out. And each one of us can help somebody else bring their trapped part out and breathe again anew. On 23rd December 2018, a group of friends & strangers, students & teachers, Europeans & Indians, got together for an experimental, sacred, high-energy JAMily concert at a vegan restaurant in Varanasi, India. This is an excerpt of our language of music! At minute 7, on a totally different context, I was inspired to lay down some vocals with lyrics from the Cypriot traditional song "Ela korou na doume ta mavra sou ta mathkia". The video includes our journey from the guesthouse to the venue with our instruments and our smiles, through holy Ganga river! Besides our Indian Classical Music studies with our masters during our stay in Varanasi that month, we were inspired to put forward a methodological tool, called THE ELEMENT KEY SYSTEM, which is essentially a sign language for musicians to use in order to conduct one another while improvising with music; and expanded to applications to life itself! The "Life of a Rose" is a song dedicated to Mary Magdalene. It was channeled by Marlia Coeur inspired by the red heart spot she found one day in Tegalalang area in Bali, Indonesia. She is live looping with her #godin guitar and #boss #RC202 #electroharmonix #tcelectronics #freeze guitar effects pedals and recording live with #recorder Zoom H6. Everything is powered by a power bank (no electricity socket in the middle of Bali jungle!) She is wearing an in-ear piece because there is no speaker, this is the only way she can hear the effex pedals, the voice's reverb and the loop station to be able to sync along. "Life of a Rose" is the first channelled song/prayer of a new series of in-situ improvisations (part of Marlia's Earth Gridding New Earth project). If you don't have a clue what that is, please look up and read more about leylines and Earth portals. There are high vibrational healing places around the Earth which work together as energetic vortexes, forming a grid around the planet to keep everything on Earth in balance. This Bali spot gave Marlia a transmission from Mary Magdalene and the power of Grace through the Life of a Rose. The lyrics which came through are: "The Life of a Rose emanates Grace from your Heart Maria" The song celebrates the Divine Feminine within all of us. The rose carries the meaning of purity, passion, transmutation, completion, of consummate achievement and perfection in addition to being an ancient symbol of joy. On 16/6/2022 we were appointed by PuraVida Festival (Kaya, Yoi, Julia, Walker and myself Marlia) to hold a cacao ceremony circle (one of the biggest ones of approx. 400 people) with sacred songs as part of the opening/welcoming first night of the festival. Greetings to the family! After making the decision to fulfil my current 4-month-long Indian/Asian/NZ tour without any other instrument but my voice, this is what I could come up with during my very-much-indeed musical stay in Pai, Thailand, right after the PanSiam gathering 2019. In one of our days there with Leon Christian Karmameleon, between open mics, music performances, singing workshops, private vocal lessons, bonfire circlesinging, spontaneous street/stage improvising, scooter riding and hot spring indulging, we met Tommaso Caenazzo (the owner of this handpan @432hz) at our favourite chai shop and thought we could work a bit on 11/8, plus instrument plus voice! There is a much better video version with regards to the quality of music & sound, however this one is hilarious - at least to me! - so I decided to post this one.
